Our Shot…The Journey That NEVER Ends! Laurie Brandt
After many years of testing this and that, I have learned that it is truly a game of trial an error. You can read 1000s of e-Books and still have NO answers. I personally found more help thru research and a few Books (offline Text) that gave me the best answers. And the thing is it is a never ending learning game as the Net is an ever changing playground. Now this is not to say that there are not some excellent e-books out there, there are many, but you must be selective as many so called GURUs rewrite the same book over and over with a different Author. This is actually my first e-book and may take sometime to finish but it will written with as much Honesty and Truth as I can muster as I HATE reading BS so I Promise you no BS! The 1st entry of this will go into my mailing list to let people know it is on the way. Now let's cover a few Topics of interest: TRAFFIC EXCHANGES: Most are no hitters, just to get your site seen and maybe if your lucky a customer here and there...I prefer to call this "Branding" and you my use Banners to help you in this task. The object is to plant a subliminal message in their sub-conscious that YOU exist and you web address will stick there. I have been using this "Branding Method", does it work? Don't know yet, only been using it for a short while but I know that sites I see stick in my mind when I need something so there has to be something to this method of Advertising! FFA LINKS: LEAVE ALONE: Not even well for Branding, just filling your inbox with OPPs offers! Opt In List: Here is you're key, but not as easy as it sounds. People will really turn down free stuff! So test different Freebies till you find one that works, sort of like with email Mailing List and That magic Headline. Once you have your Opt-In List established you may then work on your mailings and mail list. Content is King but NO ONE will open your email without that GREAT Headline! Again, test and play around till you find Headlines that works best for you. Keep the winners and throw out the no shows! Content is KING! No one cares how great your product is but you, what they care about is what is in it for them...Tell them. Tell them exactly what your product will do to increase their productivity, save them money, etc. Now keep in mind that everyone is different and some want to save money, some want other things that your product does. Make a list of everything your Product(s) will do for your customer! Put it all out there and hold back nothing! Write more than one, be creative, and put you in your writings...like me this is my 1st to go to publish...my goal is to be HONEST with you, factual and available to answer any questions you may have. I will be honest, I am NO WRITER! But facts I can put together and I read, and this will help you too. Grab all the Copywriting materials you can find, there will be some on the website for free and Google's a good place, plus I will list links at the bottom of this writing for you. Now, where to get started? Do you have a website? A Product(s)? Are you an Affiliate? Whatever you are doing you can turns word into money...Where to start other than what is covered. I like Herculist.com they have a free option but the upgraded feature will make it possible for you to mail more often and if your writings are on time you'll net a sale here and there. Have I done it? Yes I Have! My Goal...to become better, your goal? Always to be better, learn more as said it is Battle field and you MUST NOT STOP! It takes perseverance, ambition, strong will and you have it. Just keep practicing and you will see things start to change. Study Sales letters, 1 page Mini Sites (a form of sales letter), study what others are saying for ideas, Benchmarking! Pick out a few GURUs and study all their FREE stuff and if you have money buy some of their stuff. I run no one down so I can't tell you who to study or not! Go to Forums and read, you'll get a good idea of who is good and who to stay away from, and trust me everyone has something to say about everyone (including me) so weigh the good responses vs. the bad to get an idea of who is good and who is bad. Who can help you etc? Another thing before I forget...always write in short paragraphs...easier to read. People get eye strain tying to read a LONG paragraph and give up.
